I purchased the EVO Design 4G last month from Sprint. After activating my new phone with the hotspot, I was not able to connect any device to the phones hotspot. After getting a second new device, 3 trips to the local Sprint repair center, and hours on the phone with 14 different tech departments with Sprint, I finally figured out that the hotspot doesn't work on the EVO Design if the bluetooth service is active. Sprint was supposed to open a ticket with HTC to get this fixed. I called HTC and was told by their tech support group that the hotspot won't work on all EVO devices when bluetooth is active.
So I am asking the Sprint EVO community (non Design owners) if this is in fact correct - I need to turn off bluetooth if I want to use the hotspot. Because internally Sprint has no idea this is the case.
Thanks.
