Default Evo OTA update already (with pics)!

Just got this update on my Evo. No, it's not Froyo. But I believe it's supposed to fix the SD card issue at least.

    Pics here:

Meh, no big deal. Not sure I trust those root guys yet, and I'm sure so many people will update that a new root will be found later. I'd rather have a more stable SD card right now.

Yeah.. Unrevoked says it breaks the root. The update contains some bug fixes and lots of system patches. They're going to tear apart the OTA update and see what they can do and they're also pushing back the release of the root method until they know more.

No biggie. I'll enjoy the phone for what it is for now.

Yes, it is biggie since it is right at the release time. hopefully, its trying to fix the sd card problem. dont want to do some reformatting things there. is there anyway to see what the OTA is for?

Not that I can see. But hopefully HTC will announce the details soon. In the meantime I'll see if I notice any differences.

I got it installed also, Ed. Let us know if you find out what it does. Im assuming it is the SD card fix and I have had that problem.

Do they break the root intentionally?

Let me know if you find out. I am in the same boat. I have a new memory card on the way though, perhaps I won't need the update.
