    Default Qik Video Chat

Has ANYONE been able to get this working? I don't even see the option in my Qik client and there is no option to upgrade from the marketplace.

    Default Qik Video Chat

Reading what's on - the Qik included on the Evo looks nothing like that for me. Is there a way to upgrade to the Qik that includes video chat?

No. The app is "working" (i.e. the camera is working - front and back), but nothing is getting sent to the Qik site (no public videos, no private videos) based on my test runs.

Other folks are saying it's known that Qik is down right now. For how long?...

For some reason the "live" feature isnt working but it will record your video and then upload it to your qik site.

Maybe it's a lot of people trying to use it and it's jamming everything up.

I didn't try the video chat, but I did try the "regular" qik broadcast like 2 hours ago, and it was working fine for me.

@olsonn - Qik worked for me - I was able to view the video on the Qik website.

Qik not working for me either. Had the EVO for a few days and tried to use the Qik Chat but no where to be seen nor any app updates...

They said their working on it

According to Sprint data provision isn't complete for a lot of customers due to the demand on the system. They said to expect 24 hours before we're completely provisioned. iPhone anyone? Sure hope the EVO isn't gonna cause an AT$T iPhone situation!

    It works.

Go to the app store and click on 'just arrived'. You need to install the app ''Qik for the HTC EVO''.

After installing I had to reboot my phone to make the Qik application link work. But video chat worked fine. Pretty sweet.

Can I ask exactly where you found the chat option's WITHIN the app. I did exactly what you said and I still don't see crap. Even rebooted me phone n everything.

P.S. I can't even get Fring to work. It won't let me sync with Skype or even MSN.

Search for "Qik video" in the Marketplace. That's where I got mine, & I got it to work(after a while! )

Qik in the Marketplace has been coming out little by little, I noticed that on my wife's Marketplace it showed up a couple hours before it showed up on my Evo. Not sure why and doesn't make any sense to me.

The Qik included in with the EVO needs to be updated with Qik for the EVO. It's going to require a few restarts of the phone to get it working.

FYI people their is an update out for QIK. Go to marketplace then press the menu button then go to downloads. It should say their is an update for QIK. Update it then the QIK UI should look like the one in the link. I haven't been able to use it since shortly after I did that it crashed and i haven't been able to log back in....but I can confirm it DID look like the one in the vid.

It was on mine but not hubby's. As somebody else said, it's not showing up on every Evo.

...man now it won't even let me launch the app period after the update.

It says "the linked program is no longer installed on your phone" when I am 100% positive it is.

iMovicha just worked for me when Fring and Qik have failed. I'm not sure if you can use the front facing camera, but using the back camera, video worked both ways.

I haven't been able to get Fring or Qik to work but I just tried iMovicha and it worked fine. I couldn't figure out how to get the front facing camera working, but video was being sent both ways using the back camera.

This seems to be part of the major bugs qik is having. I was able to create an account and use it shortly this morning, but getting the same error trying to sign in since about 4PM, Regardless of battery pulls, resets, App data clears through settings, etc.

Also happen to be lucky enough to not see this so called "update" in the app market...

Way to really show how awesome your app is qik, lol broken on day 1 of the evo launch...

Well, here's hoping they get things ironed out soon.
