Mine isn't too good either, I have to be in the same room with my router to get a full signal. One room away and the bars drop to one, kind of odd.

I am. In places where my iPhone would have a full signal my EVO will barely get it.

Seeing it here too. I don't know whether it's effecting the functionality, but I am not very far from the router and only have one bar? Could this be a defect?

I have noticed some discrepancy with the WiFi range, it kinda fluctuates when I'm close to the Routher.

I noticed this as well... I was questioning it, but my wifi speed was fine... I think.

Same here. It's fluctuates a lot even though I stay in the same spot. I will go all the way down to 1 WiFi bar from completely full.

Thank god! I thought it was me. Evo gets weak signal (18 Mbps) while my computer gets 54 Mbps. This better be fixable with a software upgrade.

I'm getting kicked off my WiFi constantly and even the 3g radio connection is fluctuating wildly.

Well then, 2.2. can't come soon enough. The Evo has an N wifi card in it, but 2.1 cannot utilize it. 2.2 does. My Hero doesn't get a great wifi signal, but it was worse when I had 1.5 on it.

My WiFi seems weak too

I thought it was just me. In the same room as my router I get 4.5 down and one room over that drops all the way down to .74. Hopefully this can be optimized through a software update.

Yes, definitely weak wifi and the 3G is not quite as good as my old phone either.

Great, more issues. Where are HTC and Sprint on this? I don't want my phone to have these things wrong with it.

I have the WiFi issue as well, sitting right next to router and see 2 bars.
Also can anyone else check there Bluetooth reception? Mine is crap. Literally holding my phone next to my ear-piece and i can still hear crackling - 06-04-2010, 11:07 PM #18

same here, both wifi and regular data.

I guess I am the exception. I am very pleased with my wifi and absolutely AMAZED by the 3G speeds. I can get wifi in my front yard (Belkin N+ router) and with 3G I am watching youtube videos just like on my laptop. I live in the middle of Phoenix and Tucson and speeds were much slower on my BB so this is all very pleasing to me.

My home wifi reception is weaker on the Evo. I dont understand why, but I'm not getting full bars when in the same room as the router, unless my phone is in sight of the router.
Wifi strength also seems to be weaker compared to the Palm Pre. This is however all based on the number of bars appearing which isnt a very objective measure of connectivity.Last edited by creativemeat; 06-04-2010 at 11:36 PM.

Getting the same problem here guys.

doesn't work
My next problem (I'm dang near sorry I got this thing) is WiFi. Mine doesn't see a signal at all. Few weeeks ago, I installed a Cisco E3000 dual band router. It definitely sends g and n, as I have an Archos - g - that works all over the place, great range. My n XPS laptop works super, as does my g netbook...but this EVO refuses to see the netowrk at all. Really really sucks.....
