Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere on this forum, but I did try searching and have not found anything.

When I purchase apps on the Android Market using my HTC EVO, I am not asked for a PIN number. According to Google Checkout, I should be prompted for a PIN each time. In fact, I have never created a PIN.

Anyone else having this problem? My concern is if my HTC EVO is stollen, there is no security to prevent anyone from running up my credit card with app purchases.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I don't see any functionality for a PIN, and in fact, I've never heard of the PIN before.

In any case, download an app like Mobile Defender. If your phone is stolen, you can then wipe your device so that whoever stole it cannot use it for app purchases.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll check into Mobile Defender. Interesting though, if you click on help in checkout.google.com, it discusses the PIN requirement for phone purchases.

cbfinger: The authorization process has been really quick for all of my app purchases so far, definitely not more than 5 or 10 seconds.
