If the phone is in silent mode when you turn it off, it'll be a silent boot.

Just tested on my baby, and it worked.

Hm... I guess that's okay... that Sprint video of 4g alarmed me. It's pointless to have it on there unless it's loading something imo.

No kidding! Could they have chosen a creepier tune? My Evo crashed and reset once late at night and I could have sworn the walls started shaking when the 4G nightmare theme started blaring. Seriously, I have a hard time watching the 4G animation with that music...I half expect Freddy Krueger to jump through the yellow 4G blocks and drag me into a nightmare. Why do you have to freak me out like that Sprint?!?!

You can change the startup sound to anything you like. Or even remove the MP3 for silence
