I know there are tons of threads on battery life and I'm an Android noob, but I'm going to post my totally unscientific "findings." What makes this different is that I had this app increase my battery life (or perhaps do something else on the backend).
I was browsing Android Central and found the recent Editor picks for apps. I liked the SysTray Monitor write up. I decided to download it.
Suddenly out of nowhere, I was blessed with amazing battery life. Recently my battery took a turn from the worst and went from 24 hours with one charge to having to charge twice a day. After downloading the SysTray Monitor, I'm 8 hours since charging and it is reporting that I have 70% battery left.
I have no idea why this could happen, and I'm not claiming that all people will get the same results. I would be interested if other people saw similar gains by using this app.
Disclaimer:
... Also I have no data/research/knowledge why or if this can actually happen, this is just from user experience and observation.
