Yeah, it will be available on July 11th. Maybe those who can't get one should preorder.

I'm still waiting on my rebate eligibility (July 1st), I just might have to pre-order the white one

Now I want a white one!!!! EFFF!

from the looks of the picture it looks like the battery cover is not the rubberized one the black one has currently.
That or it's been photoshopped to make it look shinny when it's not. I'm not all that interested in white, it gets dirtier faster and any nick or scratches are more noticeable.Palm Pre > HTC Evo 4g > HTC Evo 3d> Galaxy S2> Sprint Galaxy S3> Tmobile Galaxy S3 & Asus Transformer Pad Infiniti - 06-18-2010, 10:09 AM #11
I don't know if I like the white. Seems like it will get dirty from grease easily. Also, it stands out too much for a phone that is already big.

Those of you have seen the pictures on engadget, does the back look like a glossy plastic to you? Isn't the back of the black evo a soft-touch finish? (I don't have an evo yet, though now I have options! White sure looks sexy, but I love black as well...)

all i know is if it's not the soft matted back cover, you are going to have finger prints all over it and it's going to be hard to hold the damn thing lol.

I always liked my devices black, hence the reason why I have the new Xbox. Although shiny gets fingerprints a lot. I shall stick with the black Evo.

black > white
I don't see how anyone would want a white one....atleast males. If the white one was the original color and it was the black making this sort of splash with an exclusive deal with a particular vendor...everyone would be saying how they should have waited for the black and the black looks so awesome. It's all business/marketing tactics and they work so well!

looking at the pic on engadget, looks like the battery cover and surrounding bezel is white, if the front of the screen is white, i'm so on it. I was actually going to do a white carbon fiber vinyl wrap around the EVO anyways. I did on my BB Tour last year when i first got it and was complemented by lots of people.

Of course this is all subjective but for me anything made in white always looked like a kids toy and very plastic looking.
One reason I never liked most of Apples products, especially the older ones, was because of all the white they used in everything. White looks really cheap and, dare I say, ugly!
I did not buy an ipod until they came in black! Black is just so much better even if it is plastic, just more professional looking.
