wierd issue with new evo

This one I noticed the home keys do not light up when it is plugged in and charging. If I unplug it they light up even when I plug it back in. But when the screen times out and I unlock it does they do not light back up.

I have noticed this too.

This is normal, they only light up when the phone is on. When you plug and unplug the screen lights up with the buttons until it times out then they go dark. I've found that at times the buttons will glow after I've used it for a while.

Ok I think I know what the problem is, have noticed that this one has light bleeding on top from the led that shows up in light sensor. The home keys are light sensitive so I think the charge led is shutting the home keys off. It also does not do it when the led is red, as soon as the led turns green the home keys just off and won't come back on while plugged in.

I have a launch day device n the home button lights light up whether its on before plugging in charger or screen off and charging.

I've had two other evo's and they did not do this. I'm kinda curious to see if a factory reset will fix it.

Nope a factory reset didn't fix it. Its going back tomorrow, I need to see the home keys in the dark.
