Launching App animation

So I was watching the Droid X benchmarking video and I noticed that both the Droid X and the N1 have a pretty slick launch animation when you open an app, while the Evo just flips to a blank screen. Is there any way to enable this animation on the Evo?

Yes. Download launcher Pro from the android market, install and set as default homescreen, I love the animation. You don't need to root for this method. There might be a way to get it on sense UI homescreen but I would assume you would need to root to go that route. really makes the UI look more sophisticated.

But what baffles me is what i believe that the evo comes with that ability to do these animations out of the box like my samsung moment since you can manage it in settings but for some reason senseUI and the stock 2.1 launcher dont make use of them.... why?

I also didn't understand why they would leave that out. Is there any other sense UI phone that does include the animations?

The hero used to have the side slide animation on every app launch and transition but thats the only other sense device i used

its unfortunate too--w/ the processor the Evo has it would be amazing (really just 'eye candy" but who cares). I brought up a similiar thread regarding why they took out the flip clock animation (like on the HTC HD2). I guess we have to wait for someone from XDA to come up w/ a solution w/o disabling SENSE (which i prefer over stock)
