Anyone know if there is going to be an over the air notification? Or will we have to keep pressing the update button like how the palm pre is set up?

You don't have to keep pushing the update button on the Pre, it'll be pushed to you if you wait.

Will this be a firmware update or HTC software update? Both are options in the System updates part of the menu......and since we are all waiting, can someone quickly tell me what the difference is between the two without detracting from the original intent of the thread?

This is an HTC update. Firmware is Android. When that happens it will be Froyo-time!

Like the Pre you won't need to check for the update, it will also be pushed. Not sure how often it checks with the HTC server, so we can always poll the server manually.

Took all of ~10 Minutes to install. Broke a few widgets but easy fix, just remove widget and readd.

Yes, I tried for it under HTC Update and got it (FOTA update or something) downloading it right now.

Yeah, broke my Pandora widget, but I just threw it back up. I don't see any new widgets or anything...I wish they'd have some kind of log that says exactly what this does.
