Wireless Tether - Froyo - back in business

Seems the authors of Wireless Tether for root have updated their app. It now works with the new Evo Froyo stock update (still must be rooted). No custom kernal needed.

And the best part is it wasn't some XDA guys that helped get this working. This work came straight outta Android Central. I hear they (the AC boys) have a Froyo ROM over in the hacks section

which will have a second release candidate later today which includes this new app ::shrugs::

Edit - wanna make sure the right guy gets credit, Beezy420 worked for HOURS with harald getting this going. The guy was so happy he got a hold of me at 5am lmao!!

I wasn't aware it was NOT working. Seemed to turn on just fine when I ran it earlier.

Still not working for me in the 2.2 rooted ROM.

Got it working. Had to disable encryption. Looks like they still have some work to do.

Noob question:

So from my undersranding, is there no way to root if i did the ota update to 2.2 to get this thing working?
