Do I have Download All Updates Before I Can Get 2.2?

I haven't downloaded any of the OTA's because I like using the first Unrevoked. Now when I manually search for updates I only see the last update before Froyo. If I cancel it and search again, it comes right back.

Do you have to be current with the updates in order to download a new update?

Yeah cause when your phone searches for the URL when scanning for the update it only catches it on Sprint/HTC's Servers if you're on the latest offical OTA update. Kinda sucks but thats just to keep things in check and make sure everything that they pushed is on the device so it can run properly so it's for them to play it safe.

I was in the exact same situation. I also was using the first unrevoked so never applied that patch, 1.4x I think it was. I said heck with it and just patched it to that then I was able to update to 2.2. It was well worth it. I was using the wirless tether so cannot use that now. I am just using the trial version of Easytether right now.

I hope they get a 2.2 version of Unrevoked that works fast and easy like the old one.
