Default Droid X Keyboard on Evo?

I've been waiting for a Droid X keyboard port for 2.2 on the Evo...anyone know anything 'bout it?

It seems these are only the add-ons...or maybe I'm missing something. Does that link display the actual d/l for the keyboard app itself?

It looks like the first post in the thread contains the keyboard file (look for the file with "kb" in its name)

i gotta check this out. I liked this one and the HTC mime one the best. The stocker is better now on 2.2, but my fingers like the other layouts better

Why would anyone want the Motorola multi-touch keyboard? I'm stuck with it on my leaked 2.2 Droid X and hate it. It has no visible overlay for symbols etc and is a real PITA to use.

I'd use Swype but it doesn't let me backspace when typing in Terminal Emulator.

For me the droidx kb has been the best. Barely make any mistakes on it and if i do, I just tap on any of the words I want to correct and it will relist the optional words for me to recorrect it. I do wish the number layout was similar to the HTCIME mod one though. Swype numerical layout is even worse.

I don't get this keyboard. There are no alternate keys. Do you have to go to the other keyboard to type an occasional number or question mark?

Please tell me you're joking. The Droid X keyboard is arguably the best virtual keyboard out today. Even many iPhone fanboys have said it was just as good as the iPhone's. I like this Moto multitouch keyboard a lot better than the Htc one I had with my Evo.

I finally got it installed...I used it before...before the Froyo update....I agree this is the best virtual keyboard...I have an Ipod touch and its about the same...

Ok... I'm using it for this post and the touch is nice. But you guys must never use apostrophes. Or commas. Or queston marks. Or numbers. That's what makes this one unusable for me.

I'm back to Smart Keyboard Pro... instantly.

So can still be installed on a non-rooted evo? And u use commas and stuff? Whats really the point? If someone can clear this up, a more efficient keyboard would be sweet cause I have fat fingers and its a lil rough at times.

If you press space after the word, options come up to enter ! ? , @ _ Also, you can long-click on the period to bring up more symbols.
