    Default Pandora question

When im listening to my pandora it plays songs fine, but when a song ends pandora kind of hangs up and won't go to the next song until I unlock my screen. After I unlock the screen it says waiting for coverage and after out finds coverage it plays the next song fine. I just find it kind of annoying that I have to unlock my phone everytime a song ends just to go to the next one. Anyone know of anything I could do to fix this problem? It never seemed to be a problem before I was rooted, just after I started running vaelpak 2.0. Any input would be much appreciated.

    Thanks alot everyone,

Did you check all of the settings in pandora? Have you tried other ROMs to see if it does the same thing? The easiest way to know if it's the app or the ROM is to try a different ROM.

I stopped using ATK cause I heard it sucks more battery than it helps save. But I do use juice defender. Is there any settings u can fool around with that could prevent this from happening?

I'm not familiar with the app but it sounds like it might be turning off your data connection when the screen is off.

Juice defender kills your data while the screen is off. That's your issue. That's why it resumes connection when you unlock it. While you use Pandora just disable Juice defender with the disable button at the top.

Pandora has been very buggy overall lately. I'm using a mytouch with stock os. Hopefully they're working on an upgrade to fix the bugs.

I agree, it's probably Juice Defender. I had the same issues until I realized JD was turning off my data 4 out of 5 minutes.

Dude I used to have this same problem. simple fix.... make sure your "always on mobile data" is turned on. A lot of people keep this turned off because it drains the battery a lot faster. Never had that problem since.

I had this same problem and it was because of JuiceDefender. The new pandora seems much more stable than the previous versions. I went in to the custom settings for JuiceDefender and set it to keep data on when Pandora was running and that took care of the problem (it's available in the free version)

I am not using any task killers or juice defender and am having problems with Pandora when my screen goes out.

While my screen is on Pandora works great over my wifi at home. However, when the screen locks songs will start cutting in and out like I am losing the wifi signal a few seconds here and there when the screen lock is on. This makes no sense because I mostly use it at my desktop which is next to my wireless router.

Any ideas as to what causes this? I looked for an "always on mobile data" setting but could not find it.

Maybe a problem with the EVO wifi?

I don't use juice defender or anything else and my Pandora stops working all the time, but slacker works just fine.

I think it may be a problem with my EVO. I mostly use Pandora for my alarm. When the alarm is playing the screen stays lit with a snooze button. No stopping and starting - so for my major use it is fine which is good.

But as soon as I turn off the alarm and let Pandora play on (letting the screen shut down). Pandora stops and starts constantly like wifi problems. I may try updating my ROM.
