Keyboard Lag. Started after I went to Froyo... and it's been like that on every ROM I've used... rooted stock, Fresh 3.1 & Fresh 3.2
    Left Android for the Darkside...

No keyboard lag on CM6, or on VaelPak.

Yeah i get no lag on Vaelpak. My battery life is better too, getting about 20 hours. But we shouldnt have to root to save battery... definately needs to get fixed.

I'd try those... but aren't those Non-Sense ROMs? I would prefer to keep Sense.

Have been able to stay happy with stock FROYO. There are a couple quirks. Totally agree that the camera software needs to be fixed, as even medium-low light renders video useless. Also sense should b able to upload vids directly to Facebook! Also the 'share' feature doesn't work to some of the options, notably again Facebook. Since so many users are actively on FB, the sense UI, just seems to not play nice with that site.

After I went vaelpak I liked that you could still use a lot of sense options but change up the phone however you please. Honestly vaelpak is the best rom I've tried since I've been rooted. Very easy to use, battery life seems good. The other roms I tried they all felt like something was missing. But I do agree, we shouldn't have to root to get better battery life or to make our phones perform faster. They should come like that from the factory if you ask me.

I have bad lagging with my keyboard also after froyo. But I paid for the bettwer keyboard app with lets me get custom skins and I ain't had any lag since. I already emailed HTC a few times about problems and they say the same thing, we just have to ether root our evos or just deal with the problems. That's how HTC put it to me.

The cap is a limitation of the hardware and no amount of software/firmware jiggery-pokery can remove it. That's HTC's story and they're sticking to it, ROMs to the contrary be damned.

The roms don't really remove the cap, they just force the screen to refresh twice as fast.

No actually they're are some that disable the HDMI, therefore removing that cap. Start doing more research.. It's not all entirely like how the HD2 was.

Everything fine here... Just fix the reversed pictures the front facing camera takes.

I agree that we shouldn't have to hack to make things runs better, smoother or faster nor should we purchase app (vignette) to take better pics. I've been trying out so many roms that it's very exhausting. I had an Epic for a week and the only thing I did was install Launcher Pro. Everything worked perfect on it. Unfortunately smaller screen and hard keyboard wasnt for me so I stuck with the Evo. FPS and bettery camera and video recording is all I want fixed.

I hope thats not their attitude, because that would be really unfortunate. There are some major bugs in Froyo. The software needs to be fixed.

I don't really have any issues except for video streaming. Sure wish they'd fix that soon.

camera quality would be nice and that's realitivly minor, i have no real compliants with the phone.

ok, flash that lets you use your finger to "click" and drag stuff. flash is fine if you are watching a video or streaming audio, but beyond that, it pretty much sucks.

Maybe fix the bug in text messaging where you tap a message and it brings up a totally different thread.

Some lag on my Stock Froyo keyboard.

The ability to have different alert tones (and different volumes as well) on each individual inbox. Sorry my blackberry spoiled me by having different alert tones per email address. I really do like that feature.

I emailed them about the video recording, then playback is skipping. They told me to soft reset, then hard reset, then do a factory reset(which I did a month back). Then they tell me I might have to take it back to sprint or HTC gives us Evo owners a year warranty and I can call them and have my Evo sealed out from them. I'm a lil dissatisfied of the quality of the camera, but IF the videos did not skip after recording I would never complain about the video quality. I have family and friends tell me my videos look nice in quality But most of the records videos skip. I'm sadden, can someone give me a cookie.

I've always wondered how these ROM developers often manage to get markedly better results than the guys who actually make the phones. I can't tell if that's impressive on their part or just sad on the manufacturers' part. I guess maybe a bit of both?

No, That is not how HTC "put it to you" do not lie...
