Video's on Facebook Android App
Why is it that when I try and watch videos that my friends upload onto Facebook, the android app always says the "video is not available?" Does anyone else experience this and is there a way to fix it ?

Same here, not quite sure why. I can see them in the website but not the app.

Lame I agree. I have some videos from friends I really wanted to watch and wasn't going to be around a computer for several days. The FB app for android still falls far behind that of the Iphone.

I noticed the same, and I think it was tied to when I installed the updated Facebook from the market instead of just using the pre-installed version.

There needs to be a official fix for this because it's annoying when you have to go through the settings or use another browser to get these videos working.

This is still an issue with my EVO. I can't play most videos on Facebook through the Facebook app. (and frankly I don't want to have to load my browser to view Facebook each time)
What's more frustrating is that videos playback fine in the Facebook app on my wife's HTC Hero. I can't figure out why they won't play on my EVO. - 02-17-2011, 03:08 PM #14
Use Rockplayer or Vplayer and your Facebook videos will work.

Thanks, I have Rockplayer now and it has loaded the couple Flip movies I was attempting. It got confused when I changed the video size and the video froze a few times but at least it's loading them. Gonna play with it some more and see how it works.
I looked into Vplayer but it seemed like their free app was only free for a limited time and then it was around $20+ for the app. - 02-17-2011, 03:35 PM #16
v player is way better than rock player

I spoke to soon.. Today he updated the Vplayer and raised the unlocker price to $4.75.
