Blocking Spam Email?
I did a search and didn't see a thread on this. I have hotmail and yahoo on my EVO. Both email accounts get rediculous spam emails throughout the day. When I check it at home none of these emails gets into my inbox. Is there a spam filter i'm missing somewhere? Thanks in advance.

Use GMail as a filter for your other email accounts. I am pretty sure that GMail gives you the ability to receive the emails from Hotmail/Yahoo etc. and also send from those addresses. I use GMail and it has great spam filtering, I almost never get a spam email in my inbox, and I get quite a few emails daily (20-30).

sounds like something is fishy. i have hotmail set up on my phone and i only get the messages that end up in my inbox. if hotmail filters it to the spam box, i don't get it on the phone.

Filtering email happens before it gets to your device.
You need to log into each acct online and see what is available there.
Yahoo for example allows you to enable or disable their spam filter.
Also, download the Yahoo mail for android app, this has the ability to mark emails as spam. Once you mark enough of a certain type it will learn future emails of the same type are spam.
At least thats whats working for me on my yahoo acct.
Hey Gekko, why bother posting that, i dont see how its very helpfull to him. Either give him help or dont bother. But telling him to suck it up is just lame.
