Text/Email Notifications

I didn't see the answer to this in search so I apologize if I missed it.

I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to stop getting the first part of an email or text from showing up in the notification bar. I'd rather have it say "New email" or "New Text" without showing the topic or first part of the message.

Should find it in the messaging setting...pull up messages then hit menu...then settings under recieved messages uncheck recieved notifications
