Just realized (might have been since the Froyo update), but there are numerous apps not appearing on the 'apps' menu that are installed. I am using OpenHome as the app launcher (don't think that matters), but a drag up from the bottom shows all apps, and some are 3rd party, others arent such as google sky!

The only 2 workarounds I found are either;
1. putting a shortcut to the app on the desktop
2. going to applicaitons, manage, select, then launch app (or goto market place, search, and do the same.)

This is an Evo4G on Spring, v 2.2

Thanks.

I had a similar scare a couple weeks ago until I realized that the only apps I was missing were the ones I moved to the SD, and my phone was on USB syncing files (which basically unmounts it from the Android OS temporarily).

Not sure if this is the same issue, but I would check to make sure this isn't the case.

I've never used Open Home before but I would try to clear it's data under settings > manage applications, or dig deeper in to it's settings. If you erase the data you will lose any settings, home screens you set up, etc.
