Sense Weather app/widget (Fixed 12/16/10)

Hi,

Has anyone else had trouble with the Sense Weather app and widget? For the past couple of hours, I don't have any current weather graphic. I thought I borked something when I unsuccessfully tried to update, but my son's Hero is having the same problem.

If I enter a different town, then I have the graphic - it seems that the weather app lost my town.

I'm having the same problem, I got the update on my evo and it was working fine for an hour or two then when I turned my phone on it was happening and my launcher keep asking to force close

Didn't even know I got an update, but my weather widget isn't showing weather info...

Ditto for me, here in the Washington D.C. area. It won't show my weather graphic, but it will show for Baltimore and other close cities... Weird!

I'm in the same boat as well here in NC. I thought when I flashed the Nexus S wallpaper I messed something up. Glad to know I'm not the only one having problems....
BTW, I have a Droid Incredible, I just found this by searching so I'm guessing it's an HTC problem.....

To get the clock weather working you need to remove the widget from your home screen then add it back again. You then have to select your city and NOT current location. Why this is happening, I have no idea. I know I was able to get it working again doing it this way.

Well, I tried this but when typing my city it didn't recognize it...

I think there is an issue with either Sprint or HTC (whoever handles the data). People are reporting this on XDA as well. Rooted and Non-Rooted users are having the same issue. Seems to have started around lunch time PST

I had to go with the closest large city to me. My smaller town is no longer on their list....bummer.

I'm assuming it's with HTC since the Verizon DInc owners are having the same problem. Lets hope they get it fixed soon.

Me too in Dayton, Oh. Like someone else suggested, doesn't work on the current setting mode, but it does come back if I manually type in the name, weird.

Seems to only recognize major cities. I can enter Hartford, CT, but not my town.

Same here, only cities will work not my current location. Whew...I thought I screwed something up when I tried to manually download the update earlier, guess that isn't the issue. Unless everyone here tried the same thing. Also when you try to change locations in the HTC weather widget it force closes every time.

As far as I understand the widget is not working on any Evo, rooted non rooted, OTA and no OTA. Mine is rooted no OTA - not working.

Ok I'm glad it's not just me I thought I jacked something up on my phone. I changed the wallpaper and all the sudden it just gives me the city and nothing else. Oh and I'm not rooted

Why I didn't check this thread this morning I have no idea! My weather app is not working period...I updated today and thought I screw something up. So I did a reset, and changed roms...still nothing. I can get my current location to pull up, but not the weather or graphics. Annoying!
