Since my Evo updated on Friday, my non-htc charger quit working, and it appears to drain the battery twice as fast when connected. The charge light comes on, the HTC battery widget shows the phone charging, but the battery starts to drain until the phone dies.
This charger worked w/ my Pre, and worked w/ my Evo until the update. It could be that the charger just died, but it seems fairly coincidental that it's post update.
Could HTC be checking for something in the new update that is keeping the phone from charging w/ non standard chargers? The phone lights up like it's charging, but seems to drain twice as fast. The USB cable and the HTC charger still work as designed, just this cheap wal mart micro USB charger that's doing this. Any thoughts?
