Swype says not available for the following reason:

Swype is part of the new OTA ROM, so that when you perform the update, it is already there.

You can't install the Swype beta on a phone that already has a "released" Swype.

you have to be sure the beta of Swype and the Swype installer are uninstalled before you update.

if you have swype beta installed you have to uninstall then restart and all should be fine

i get the same error

i've deleted the installer & all swype pertinent files from my phone before performing the installation steps listed on the website. after 3 tries, i gave up. i'm content with the keyboard sans a microphone if it means having swype versus Not having swype.

looks like its back to finding a modified version out there on the web. thank goodness for backups on my computer
