Handcent SMS Question

I have look everywhere and found how to disable the stock sms from getting messages after I have installed handcent and nothing is working and keep getting double messages.

I go into my Stock sms/settings/and uncheck received notification and nothing happens and still get textes.

Then...

I go into my Stock sms/settings/and uncheck everything and I still get textes, lol. What to do?

The stock mesaging app will always get messages. The purpose is to disable it from "notifying" you when it does.

Yea, go to the stock app, hit menu, settings and deselect received notification

By the same token, you will still need to use the stock app to set limits on if you only want your SMS conversations to reach a certain number of messages before they are deleted.

Never thought of setting the limit before they start to delete, that makes sense now. Thanks

That is also where Handcent will save any messages as drafts, it uses the default folder in the regular messaging app, so if you're looking for one, that's where you have to go to find it. Handcent doesn't have its own drafts folder.

Thank you! I was tired of getting double notifications. Just fixed the settings to stop that annoying crap from happening any more.
