    Default Just upgraded to the EVO, but should I return it?

    So I was camping on my 1 year upgrade since september of last year. January 3rd I broke down and picked up the Evo. I was dying. Stuck with a POS Palm Pre.

    Then I started hearing about all these changes to the Sprint Premier Program. Given Mobile World Conference is coming up, with a slew of new phones, I'm wondering if it's a better idea to pick up an Evo from craigslist and wait on my upgrade? But, if I return the one I bought already, when WILL i be able to upgrade after they do all this nastiness?

    If I buy one off craigslist, it'll be 100 bucks more.

    I am confused. :/

    Last question first, whenever you're 22 months into your current contract.

    As for whether you should return it...that's personal preference, really. If you're satisfied with the Evo and think you will be for the next two years, keep it. If there's a question about it, you may want to reconsider.

    Why would you want to return the phone. You have no idea what this phone is capable of. I haven't had mine for any long period of time, and I can't imagine using anything different right now.

    Any other phones that are coming isn't going to have much of a difference than the smartphones out now. I can tell you that much. There isn't any better phone out now that sprint has. My suggestion to you is - keep the phone and learn more about it's capabilities. You won't regret.

    Best of luck.

    My 2 cents would be if you can get a like new one for craigslist for 50-100 more then do it so you can have your upgrade because the evolution is about 7 months old an evolution 2 should be up the alley and member feb 7

    I'd have to agree. I'd wait to see what they have to announce in Feb. The Evo is a great phone, but I wouldn't want to be stuck another year with it, much less two. With all the tegra 2 phones coming out I think Sprint will snag at least one.

    If the phone does everything you need it to today, what more can you ask for? You're always going to have no matter what you get.

    Personally I'd wait for the announcements coming from HP and Sprint the first week of Febuary. With the upgrade changes you are only missing out on 75.00. Look at it this way im sure you can find an EVO on Clist for 250 maybe a little more. IDK how much you paid for the phone today but if you paid 199 why not get one of of Clist for 250.00 and not be held into your contract and if something new comes out which will soon just resale the Evo for 200 and take the 75.00 new updgrade amount. The EVo is pretty dated now and im actually looking at the Epic as soon as it gets Froyo

    when you buy a phone, you buy it for what you want it to do today. trying to catch up to technology is pointless. technology moves too quickly to catch up to. if you love the evo, keep it. at least you know what it can do and it has a great community of support and knowledge behind it. a new phone arriving months from now is like a pandora's box. you dont really know what you are REALLY, TRULY getting despite all the specs and ads you will see.

    basically, live in the present, not the future. if you are satisfied with what you've got, then thats what counts

    besides, the Evo is BEAST i looooooooooove this phone.

    My $.02. It's not last August, or September, or even October.

    MWC is a month away. Sprint and HP both have big announcements coming up. A new flagship phone is gonna be announced soon. Sprint is like Apple, a new king of the streets every summer.

    I would spend a little more on a Craigslist EVO and use your upgrade for the new hotness. You sound like me, and I always want the best. And, when you use your upgrade you can always sell the EVO (but you probably won't get as much as you paid for it, but something is better than nothing).

    Ya don't upgrade to Evo as thats post 2009 hardware. If you want to upgrade wait for Q2 as most device will be more competitive and push for dual core. However if you want it anyways then go buy it via CL/eBay.

    Now

    TB=CDMA

    B4
    HD2=GSM
    Evo=CDMA
