I just ordered this phone. Though it was a bit of pain, I'm hoping I have it by tomorrow or Tuesday. I was stuck between the Evo n the Evo Shift.

This site looks the most helpful, so I joined. I'm a newb, so any tips I need to do when I get this awesome phone?

Hi, iClowNz.
Welcome to Android Central and to the EVO family.

You have made a wise choice in choosing the EVO. I've had this phone for almost three months now... and I can't seem to put it down.

Check the tips&tricks link in my signature - you'll find most of your questions answered there.

Thanks, this is really helpful. I like customizing my stuff so it feels more like me.

Question: Does that tethering app that you use when rooted, require that wifi feature in your plan?

yes.. free wifi tether apps require root.
it is free.. so it does not require the sprint hotspot charge.

you have picked the best phone on sprint for rooting needs! so much to choose from the greymarket (dev community).

welcome to the evo-lution.

Yes, you made an excellent choice. I got my evo on 5/21/10 from the google convention....I still love it- friends say I am a recovering phone whore.
