How do I delete old threads???

How do I get my EVO phone to be recognized as a hard drive on my PC, I can connect it, but PC won't read it. Is it a setting in the phone or is it something on my PC side??

everyone has had this problem, no joke. i deal with it nearly every time i attempt to sync my music.

First--make sure your USB debug mode is turned OFF (menu>settings>applictions>development>UNCHECK this box)

when you connect the phone to the computer,
make sure that your computer has the necessary drivers to recognize the device. most of the time it'll automatically install them after a few moments. you should see the small USB icon in the top left corner of the phone and it'll ask you if you wish to Mount the device--if it's not showing up, then you can try the following
unplug the phone, turn it off, remove the battery, remove the SD card, reinsert the SD card, put on the battery, turn on the phone, plug in the phone

i know it seems odd, but it works 95% of the time for me.

also, check to make sure that your phone is not in "charge only" mode
(menu>settings>connect to PC>default connection type>Disk Drive)
