Hi everyone,

I just noticed I cant search for pictures by name when I go into the gallery. Is there a way to do this or an app that will allow me to search instead of scrolling thru all my pictures?

That feature have never occurred to me before... but that would be an easier solution to get to the pic(s) you need. I haven't heard or seen an app for that, perhaps there are other alternative to making this possible. Maybe someone have an idea???

You could probably go into your search settings and add your photo gallery. Then you should be able to search using the search key at the bottom of the screen. You wouldn't be in the gallery when you use it, but it should find your photos faster than just scrolling (especially if you have a lot of pictures).

If you get a file manager, like astro, you would then be able to perform the search you are talking about.....thats what I do when I'm looking for a pic in particular.

Thanks for a solution. Works. Android needs a native way to search photos.

Yep...Astro or ES File Explorer will hook you up.

astro and other file managers don't help when most of the pictures are actually on picasa, not the local storage. There should be a real way to search in the Gallery app.

Hi I'm facing the same problem. I tried to change the settings in Google search but there was no option to search the gallery. Pls help

You would think something simple like an image search would be standard. NO WAY!
