When I try to update apps that are on the SD card, it gives an installation error everytime. I have to unmount the SD card then do the update, then move everything back to the SD card. Is there a way around this or am I doing something wrong?

I used to get the same issue, so I looked it up & found this



It worked after I deleted that file.

Unfortunately this issue is across most devices with SD card app support. My buddies Droid X was suffering from the same issues. I moved his apps to Internal Memory and that did not work. I unmounted and re-mounted and that still did not work. The third and final solution was moving all apps to internal then deleting the .android_secure folder in the SD.

Look into Darktremor. This approach has worked. I use it. It uses a partition in the sd card and is seemless to market installs.
