This mail still on the server

I have had a persistent problem with my Evo. For emails from my business partner (he uses Fusemail from his home, via Time Warner Warner Cable internet connection,) when I try to open his emails on the Evo, I get the message ""this mail is still on th server." This has been going on for six months or more.

I can receive these messages on every other device and email program I use without any problem.

I can receive email successfully on the Evo from every other person with whom I communicate.

I have read of many other Evo (and perhaps general Android or HTC users having the same problem without resolution.)

Does anyone else have a similar problem, and have your discovered a solution. I do not wish to use another email app on the Evo.
