WIFI won't stay off
i use the HTC WIFI widget to try to keep WIFI toggled off. however - it will randomly turn on and off by itself. i used to turn it off each time but now i gave up and just leave it on. is anyone else experiencing this?

Check the settings under WiFi and make sure your Sleep Policy is set to Never. I had mine randomly change once or twice in the past 6 months.
Other then that not sure what could be causing it.DropBox lets you sync files across Android, iOS, and Desktop Computers. Sign up for free, install, get me and you extra space! DropBox

yeah I have it set to "Never". i tried the other settings too and same thing happens. it seems like it wants to turn on and connect when it gets near my "remembered" home WIFI signal. then it will randomly turn off and on when i leave the home area. i wonder if there are apps or sites on the phone or maybe the OS that turns it on as part of location data or something? it's not a big deal but i wanted to leave it off in order to keep it from looking for WIFI connections and thus save battery life.

Have you tried deleting the widget from your home screen and replacing it??? Could help.

Hopefully the router is not dying.
We just replaced a Cisco WiFi router in our office because it was randomly disconnecting our laptops and phones. At first i thought my phone was having an issue. But i noticed once my laptop and phone both disconnected about the same time. Later found other employees with same problem. Replaced WiFi router and all is well.DropBox lets you sync files across Android, iOS, and Desktop Computers. Sign up for free, install, get me and you extra space! DropBox
