No problem. Since i work there i can't pre-order the phone :'-( so i guess I'm goin to hav to find a sprint store that will have it on launch day. I might have to get to the store like a hour before they open.

Does Best Buy handle the premier yearly upgrades or is it only at Sprint stores?

Yes they do the yearly upgrades too as well, because its apart of your account. They can look that info up when they look up your sprint account

So, if they are taking preorders, what will the price be? And when is the release date? I am eligible for an upgrade on 6/1 (Pre owner), and am looking at upgrading. Can I reserve, assuming it will be out after or on 6/1?

They're not sure what the price will be yet. I heard that when u preorder the phone they will tell u the price of it then, and they will give u a giftcard of how much it is worth so when u go to pick it up all u hav to do is give them the gift card, set your account up,and be on your merry way.

I wonder if they will have inventory committed on pre-orders or if people will end up with a phone pre-ordered but no phone on launch day.
I would be shocked if HTC could commit inventory this far in advance of a launch but you never know. If not, I would not want to be stuck with a pre-order and no phone and have to try to get my money back so I could go to a Sprint store and get one. - 04-08-2010, 09:06 AM #11

Oj - Yes, unless Best Buy does an early release like they did with the Hero you don't even need to be a reward zone member

I'll bite. How long after release did it take to get the device?
I'm thinking I WILL do a pre-order. If the device is limited, like the Pre was, it will take some time after the initial release for the device to be available.
Now if they just ignore the pre-order and sell to people walking in the door it's wrong.
So if your not doing a pre-order how will you be getting your phone on launch day?
Besides it seems to me you could pre-order then camp out, use the gift card for the phone and when you get your call pass it to the next guy.
Still a lot of question like where this is going to be sold on launch day.
If it's in 4G areas 1st everything is going to be totally different for most people including me. - 04-17-2010, 10:01 AM #22
When I pre-ordered my Hero I was able to pick it up before the official release. Best Buy worked some sort of deal with Sprint for a pre-release release. Never had a problem with pre-ordering.
