anyone know what i can do to free up some phone memory. i have 42megs left and can't do any app updates anymore. and my notification is now nagging me on low memory space.

i loaded it 5 days ago. complete wipe and format and all that jazz. i had 250 megs with froyo. i'm running the exact same programs. nothing new has been loaded.

maybe try -

1. clear cache of EACH app.
2. delete all unnecessary apps.
3. delete all unnecessary data (old emails, texts, app data, etc.)
4. delete all bloatware data and sync settings to none/never.
5. set email sync settings to only sync ~3 days of past emails or less.
6. factory reset with manual reinstall and resync. (last resort). do a backup first just in case. i like MyBackupPro.

i didn't have to do any of that with froyo and i had lots more memory.

am i the only one with this problem?

nevermind. apparently some of my programs loaded into the phone instead of the card unlike froyo where everything loaded onto the card. move em to card and now i have 170 megs.

No, ur not the only one with this problem, I got the same f*cling problem and it is pissing me off I have tried everything. I got friends that got a Evo 4G and that got way more apps and downloaded NES ROM games and they still have way more memory then me. I am but too get the Evo 3D just cause of the internal memory.

Yes, clearing the cache many times can do the trick. Had to do each app and freed up much more memory.

I had same problem - I moved all the apps I could to the SD card and installed ApCacheCleaner. That shot me up to 170MB.
