Tethering to a ps3 evo shift

Has anyone successfully tethered there EVO shift to a p

Yeah, it's really easy. You will need to root or temp root to make it much much easier.

without root, you either use easy tether to hook up your phone to your laptop, then a ethernet cord from your ps3 to your computer.
With root, you make your phone into a hotspot so its like wifi for your ps3 and you connect it normally.

Yes, 3G. I was getting over 1MBps and all I did was update the software to the latest version.

This has been asked and answered in several different threads.. There is currently no root for Shift's running Gingerbread.

Actually, I waited when the OTA update hit and hours later there was a rooted ROM available x99_GB_Sense_Stock_Rooted_2.76.651.4.
