    Unhappy Why no Netflix Yet?

Someone please explain to me why the EVO Shift still does not have Netflix available on it. The EVO and EVO 3D were included in the last round of updates. What is so different about the shift? Is the keyboard throwing them off? I don't get it.

I'm upset too. I downloaded the EVO netflix .apk, and installed the app. The app installs fine, and you can search for, and play movies and such. Only when you play the movie you get audio just fine, but a white screen. I'm guessing different screen resolutions/sizes is the issue. I hope we get support soon!

Noticed the G2 is now supported with the recent update. They are very similar phones, so maybe that's good news? Not real sure but I'm sure the Shift will be supported... eventually.

I think it's crazy! I was reading over in XDA that the shift is a very different phone from the EVO and the 3D. Something about the processor is the component that needs to be compatible. There is a poster in another thread that got it to work (proof?) but I wasn't able to with his download link. It give the same error the original apk did. The hacked versions of the initial release got further in actually playing videos. Anyway, hope we get it soon!

We arent as important as the evo and evo 3d. Never have been and never will be. Usually when the evo gets something we arent far behind, so it may be soon. But honestly I feel as though once they have it on the new and old flagship phones who cares about the shift.

I love this phone, but I am growing tired of waiting for updates well after the much older OG evo.

Well i can confirm that it definitely works on the shift. I took the OTA update so no root or custom roms. Everything works fine on Wifi, 4G and 3G. At least something works for those who took this dam OTA update lol.

I downloaded the latest apk for neflix, and it works beautifully on my Shift! I guess I wasn't trying to use the latest version before.
