Exchange email messages won't stay read.?

I am using the stock email app for my gmail and exchange accounts. When I receive an email in my exchange account and mark it read, anywhere from 2 seconds to a minute later I will receive another notification and the message will show unread again.
Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions.

I have an exchange account as well but have not experienced this problem. Only advice I could give is basic trouble shooting (ie, clear cache or remove and re-setup the exchange account). May be an issue with the exchange server or how it and your device are communicating?

Deleting the account and re-setting it up fixed the problem. Thanks
