I'm running the stock browser and so far don't have any complaints with it.
Hope you have fun with the Flyer. I think it's a great tablet.

Re: Just got a Flyer! What browser?
compare this to the acer a100 which do you think is better. my only complaint with the htc flyer is the processor which is a HUGE disadvantage for me.

What does your response have to do with the browser question asked by the OP? To answer your question, the 1Ghz Tegra2 isn't as good as the 1.5Ghz in the Flyer. Couple that with a 4hr Battery in the A100 and I'll GLADLY stick with my Flyer. Oh, the Acer also has less RAM a boatload of problems glancing at the forums on here, and the SD card doesn't let you put anything on it according to a number of complaints. Even if they figure it out, it costs more and gives you less. What a deal... Any other questions?

The Flyer smokes the A100 and also does not have the annoying fixed nav bar taking space. I have had the A500 and the Thrive ATM. Hi def content,Flash video, N64oid and FPse all play better on the Flyer.
Anandtech's review supports my view and he was as surprised as I was. I assumed what you are and was 100% wrong.

Re: Just got a Flyer! What browser?
stock browser is good but I love dolphin HD browser. It is more user friendly and understandable. I have three roomates and when they use my flyer they find the stock browser a little cumbersome to figure out. Dolphin is much more user-friendly with the tabs visible.
Using launcher-pro on my flyer, I just change the dolphin icon to a browser icon that I downloaded from the internet.
If you decide to give it a try some settings I turn off are the gestures and the swiping left and right to view the bookmarks and toolbar. I don't care for them. Just want a simple and fast browser.
Oh, also it's free =) - 10-26-2011, 09:44 AM #10
