factory reset no effect

Hi all, i hope you can help me. I have just bought a flyer and did the software update during that, the flyer froze on black screen. Mind you, i did not interrupt it or anything, it just went black after and now does not respond at all. I tried all the suggestions i found here - hard reset with the buttons in various ways, but the flyer does not respond to any of it. No android logo appears, i cannot enter a menu etc. The screen seems lit and not completely turned off.
Does anyone have any suggestions?????

Is there a removable battery on the flyer? If so, pull it. Try to get to recovery by holding volume up, down, and power at the same time.

Battery cannot be removed... i have already tried the buttons to no effect, flyer does not respond at all

Look through some other threads in this section. There are a few on that issue with the update. Not sure of the fix if there was one as I choose not to update. I just remember reading them.
