I looked into getting the Playbook, but the lack of apps was a deal breaker for me. When I heard about the Flyer and its digitizer pen, I was sold. It's kind of a combination of the old Pocket PC technology with modern capacitive screens. I just hope that it catches on so that it will continue to be developed.

By the way, how would you compare the browser experience between the two. I have never been entirely pleased with Flash on Android. The buttons on Flash video never seem to work. Thanks.

For me the way to go is Android. Its open source licensing makes it a long term investment. If one vendor, even Google, died, Android would continue.

Whereas RIM could go away within a year or two.

Yup, I get the pocket pc experience (HP 4700, Ipaq 211 on steroids). As far as browser, I think flash on the flyer has been implimented better, but the playbook seemed to be more fluid when scrolling. It may be due strictly to the browsers, I've only used the preinstalled browsers so far.
