No evdo 3g

I have HTC Hero which is rooted CyanogenMod 7.0.3-Heroc
Had this phone reactivated but the Evdo or 3g did not come back i do have wifi and can make calls
just no internet or data.
Have used the ##3282# dialer but this is a rooted phone.
Did not back up 2.27.651.5 before the root and i have a mac.

I need help anyone please, Thank you.

You need to backup the phone via recovery (Nandroid) or through the ROM Manager app. Afterwards, find and flash a Sense 2.1 ROM and update the PRL. If that doesn't do the trick, call Sprint and have them problem solve for you. Since you are back to a stock 2.1 there won't be any problems -- Sprint won't even know you are rooted.

Flashed the stock Sprint 2.1
Then got Sprint to do the rest

You are very welcome. I forgot to suggest making a backup of the Sense 2.1 ROM and restoring back to it every month or so to update the PRL (Primary Roaming List). It helps with phone/data coverage since Sprint updates its agreements with other providers to allow roaming on their networks.

If you didn't make a 2.1 backup don't worry about it now -- be sure to save a copy in the future for quick reference. You can have multiple backups saved, just remember which one is which when you restore based on the date created.
