Should be pretty easy, provided the flip clock will work on 12 hour time as well as 24 hour. I'll start looking for a user that can dump the apk out so we can play.

Doesn't the sprint version already have a flip clock? I'm using it now on my unrooted sprint hero. It's the one that's in all the pics.

None yet. Thought I had it, but what was sent to me was the CDMA version I already have
. I'm thinking of just downloading a GSM Hero rom and pulling it myself when I get the time

That's it. I'll try when I have some time. If anyone else wants to try:
1. Nandroid backup
2. Copy backup somewhere safe
3. Rename and copy to sd card
4. Install through package installer
5. Reboot.
If it doesnt work it will need packaged as an update and resigned. A good place to find how thats done would be xda in the themes forums,(•‿•) - 11-12-2009, 05:18 PM

no. Just copy it to your sd card renamed. Use a file browser (I really like AndroZip) or the terminal to open it, you'll have the option to use the package installer, which will install it (likely over the default clock). Reboot and try the widget.
If that doesn't work and you have to package it and sign it, then you'll need to use the install update.zip from the RA.(•‿•) - 11-12-2009, 05:28 PM

Do a nandroid backup from the RA.
Rename the file from HtcClockWidget.zip to HtcClockWidget.apk
Move it to your Sd card.
Open Androzip, find the HtcClockWidget.apk and click it. Use package installer to load it.
Reboot and try it. If it doesn't work, Load your nandroid backup from the RA image.(•‿•) - 11-12-2009, 06:24 PM

Better than not saying it a hosing it all up lol. Thanks for the test. Pass on the info to everyone that it will need to be put into it's own little ROM update. I'll bet lots of folks want this, and anyone working on ROMS will wanna put it in. If nothing else Saturdays are dead time and I have to monitor all damn day so I'll muck with it then.

I give
I've bricked the phone again and am loading back the Sprint RUU lol. Someone who's more familiar with the Hero rom is going to have to get this one running. Seems there is a bit more difference between Htc 1.5 and Htc 1.5 CDMA than I thought. I'm sure one of the guru's over at xda will get it figured out soon enough....if they all aren't working on porting a hacked version of 2.0 on
