Nope, it came out last November, a month after the Hero came out.

Yes, it has a much better processor and a real GPU. The Hero doesn't. Even though we can OC's ours to 767mHz, compared to a stock Droid, it still doesn't compare. Add the fact that we have sense, and they have Stock android, there is a big difference in performance. Don't get me wrong, I love my Hero, but the Droid definitely has better internals. There really was just this and the Moment on Sprint, which both had hacked up versions of 1.5 just to run on a CDMA network since 1.5 doesn't support CDMA.
