I read a review comparing quite a few batteries for this phone (and several other HTC phones that have the same battery). It seems that these cheap knock off ones work just as well as similar ones that cost way more. And 13.99 is a great deal with free shipping. I may order one. The article did say that these 2600mah batteries were not really 2600mah when tested but still lasted much longer than stock.

I wish our phones were black...did you guys see those new black Heros? Some carrier has them now and they look totally cool.

Anyway, I digress... Churro, please let us know an update and hopefully a review (photos maybe) for this battery, looking forward to comparisons between original and this battery.

From the tests I have seen the 2600mah is rated at 1300-1500mah. Some have received a battery with 2600 but most have not. What people say works great is the 2 battery and charger package for 10.00. Batteries are advertised at 1500mah but rated about 1300. Seems to be the cheapest value with batteries always charged.

Epa churro, I got one 3000 mah from ebay and it is good. Over 20 hours without charging. I use my phone like 4 hours a day.

I realize this topic came up in April, but I'll toss in my experience with ebay batteries since buying my hero in May....no problem, saved alot of money. The key is to not buy just one extra battery, I bought 2 and 1 extra life battery (the entire 3 co$t less than one extra life anywhere else). I rotate the batteries for even usage, I use my device hard so the extra life will get me through most of the day and I toss in one of the others to complete. The next day I use that battery and the others in order (yes I numbered them). I do not work in a environment where I have access to a ac plug so this works for me. I also purchased 2 wall chagers for the batteries, the extra life has to be charged in phone itself. This may seem crazy to those who can plug their phone in while working, for me it is great, I can use all the features with out watching my battery supply.

I have been using the 1500mah ebay batteries for quite some time now. I have noticed that over time they arent quite as good as the original HTC battery. But still I always have a fully charged one waiting for me in my wallet being that the batteries are so thin. The $13 I paid for the 2 batteries and wall mount charger cant be beat.

Philb, I see you've had some experience with these. Can you tell us the store or vendor within eBay for this battery?

I'd like to have an extra battery handy, but I prefer to trust word of mouth. And my daughter needs a battery for her Samsung Moment ASAP too, so hopefully this store will carry it too.
