My daughters hero has been getting more sluggish. It was updated a few months ago and she hasn't really used much of any widget but the phone is plain sluggish and frustrating. I don't know how to go about fixing this.

My girls Hero is the same way. It needs an update bad..

There's a memory leak in one or more of the apps Sprint force-installed on the Hero. They're promising an update in Oct 2010 to fix it.

Meanwhile you can manually close 'SprintTV' and/or 'CM_service' to restore usable memory. I have a desktop shortcut to About Phone > Running Services which allows you to check memory and kill these unneeded apps.

Hey everyone the sprint hero just got an ota update to fix sluggish behavior. Just go to settings, about phone, system updates, then htc updates.

Not sure if it will fix "sluggish" behavior - it is supposed to improve the dialer lag.

Definitly fixed the dialer, phone is still like a snail though.
