Default HTC Hero (Sprint) Internal Memory Question...

I've did a few searches and cannot find any hard answers so I'm just going to post and ask: how much internal memory does the HTC Hero (Sprint) have? From the HTC website I found this:

    ROM: 512MB, RAM: 288MB DDR, 2GB microSD™ memory card

So from that I'm guessing internal is 512MB and it comes with a 2GB microSD? If so is that enough as I've heard by default the apps cannot be saved to the SD card, so I'm just curious how many people hit the ceiling and how soon with only 512MB, if that is in fact correct...

It's correct, and you get a lot less space than that with the OS installed.

I don't know the exact number; but it's about 100MB after a fresh format.

I currently have 46 apps and only 17MB left. This is with a few games though; those are 5-8MBs each.

Hmmm that is so far one of the bigger down sides to this. I'm still committed to getting a Hero, gotta get rid of this Pre, but I hear there are hacks to install apps to the SD card so that should be easily remedied.

Go to options, then SD card & phone storage.
