For some reason, when I go to change my notification tone, it won't change it. It says its doing it but once I get a text, its not the new tone I selected. HELP, im new!

There's actually a different way to change the notification tones for texts. When you're in the main text message screen, not in an individual thread but the main screen that says "All Messages" briefly press menu then settings. Then scroll down the screen until you see select sound. Click on select sound and choose whichever one you like. I still can't figure out what the notifications screen within the settings menu means because it's definitely not for texts.

That's the setting for the "default" notification tone. It's the tone for system sounds, like USB notifications.

Oh cool. Thanks for letting me know that. I was wondering what that notification setting was for and hadn't gotten around to searching for an answer yet.
