are you kidding me? droid DESTROYS hero on every level! keyboard, better (as in real) speed? WAY better, Screen? well a comparison here would be a joke, sleekness and design? HTC hero looks crappy droid looks streamlined. software? 2.0/2.1 versus 1.6 with laggy sense?

my god im surprised hero has even 1 vote, I have an eris (practically a hero), vote based on whats ACTUALLY better not just becuase you bought it

The hero is an amazing phone I love HTC sense. **** Droid its as over hyped as verizons rip off plans. I've been with every company and sprint is the cheapest and the best

Well your coment shows you've never touched one... especially one thats been rooted.
It runs 1.5 out the door, and yes its laggy. We've had custom ROMs however that have made the lag a moot point for like MONTHS. You're going to tell me the Droid isn't laggy in stock form? Please, give me a break. I've been running 2.1 + sense for a while now without a custom memory kill setting and I gotta say, its not laggy either, not even the Sprint built ROM.

The Droid all around is a much better phone. I despise the keyboard but it still is just a better phone; CPU, screen, and all.

Stats aren't that different and a Stock Droid can be just as laggy. The only thing the droid kills the Hero in is the Screen, and that was more of a limitation of Android 1.5. Honestly, everything looks much better on a 2.1 ROM on this phone.

I don't really care for the screen of the Droid. Just because the resolution is higher doesn't mean that the screen is better. It just means the resolution is higher and you can see more on a page. I can change the resolution on my computer to a higher setting, doesn't make it a better screen though. I love Sense UI. It really makes my phone a pleasurable device to have. Plus, I like Sprint's network better. 1 vote for the Hero from me.

+1 vote for Hero here too... I'll take Sense w/ 1.5 then a crap keyboard and vanilla 2.0/2.1 on ANY Motorola built device.

And who was it that compared the build of the Droid and the Hero? I've used both and the Motorola Droid is easily the lesser quality build.

I fully agree. Besides, didn't we buy the device because we thought that it was better?
