WTF is up with the gmail app in Android?
I need help...I have a gmail account and need to know how to enable push gmail. I only get my messages when I refresh inside the gmail app. Am I killing it overtime I tell the task manager to close all apps?? PleAs help me with this as I love this OS...

1. uninstall the task manager.
2. reboot your phone

This is probably what it is. Also, from home, go into Settings->Data synchronization->Google and make sure that Backgroung sync and gmail are checked.
For the task killer, if you really are going to use it (and I agree that it is probably unnecessary to automatically force kill at all), make sure that you ignore any app or process that mentions gmail, google or gtalk. - 04-06-2010, 07:31 PM #5
