Here is the story.

My father lives outside the t-mobile coverage area. (just outside of Dallas) When he gets home from work he turns on wifi and connects to wifi. He then activates wifi calling. After activating wifi calling he goes into settings and chooses to use wifi only for making calls. He chooses this because there is only 1 signal bar for t-mobile at his house. If he does not check this the call would be placed over the network and get dropped or not go out at all. (when you do this it kills all network bars)

So, now that he has chosen to make calls over wifi only he can now make calls over wifi just fine. Now fast forward to the next morning. He goes to leave for work. Pulls out of the driveway and heads down the road.

He then goes to use his phone and there are NO signal bars for tmobile because he has chosen wifi only in the wifi calling app. Problem is you can't change it back to use the network unless you enable wifi calling. Which you can't do that because you are no longer connected to wifi. The setting that you need to change is grayed out.

After a call to t-mobile they said that it was on their end and fixed it. But the next day same thing happened and that is when we figured out what the problem was.

FIX: If you are logged on to a wifi network, have chosen to make wifi calls over wifi, have chosen to do it only with wifi in the settings, you must change the settings back to enable the network before you leave the wifi signal or disable wifi calling.

I will post a video later.
