I hear from a lot that if you route them iTouch 4g or any phone it will will void your warranty

Is that true I also heard you can root it and then if something should go wrong do a factory reset and they wouldn't know could that be true also??

Thank you

Rooting your phone does void you warranty. Doing a factory reset does not unroot you and put you back you stock though. You have to actually unroot the phone. Now with the Evo to unroot all you have to do is put a specific file in your SD card and run it in hboot and you're unrooted and back to stock. Id imagine its the same for the myTouch 4g. Once you're back to stock your warranty is valid again.
